I was required to do a self assessment tax return, which TaxAssist stated was a ‘simple’ tax return. Sadly, however, they missed some elements of my tax return - meaning it was completed incorrectly. When I later spotted this issue and asked Tax Assist, they sought to blame everyone else (my employer, pension provider…) - when it was their responsibility. They have since shown no interest in rectifying the issue. If you are looking for help with you self assessment tax return - I would not recommend.
