I used this laundrette early on a Sunday, most machines were in order and clear instructions were provided. The cycles are also very fast. The floor looked like it hadn’t been swept, however the main downside was the price, £9 for a large wash is very expensive. However, I would definitely use again if the need arose.
Wasted £9 here this morning. £5 on a washing machine that didn't funnel water through the detergent holder. Fortunately (or so I thought) it was liquid detergent so I managed push most of it down the hole. There appeared to be far too little water used in all cycles. I then tried drying. My £4 was taken, but never sent to the dryer. I gave up & went home where I discovered, when attempting to hang out the washing in the drizzle, that most of my clothes were still covered in detergent. I had to use a different laundrette to do a proper job. It should have been a warning to me when I went in that 4 washing machines & 4 dryers had "out of order" on them (the latter have been so marked for many, many months). Clearly this is a place that is happy to falsely take your money but not invest in keeping the equipment running properly. Stafford? Never again for me. In response to your reply: I have been using the machines there every 2 weeks for over a year. I know how to use them. I always use the default on the washing machines & always water comes through the detergent dispenser. I did not use a dryer labeled as out of order, I used the one closest to the cashpoint.
This laundrette is not fit for purpose. The process of using a debit card and getting the machines running is unclear. Several people in the laundrette lost the money they paid. Lastly, there's no one to contact if something goes wrong, they have the website with a contact number which no one answers leaving you no choice but to leave an email which states 24 hour response time.
Member of staff working there is very helpful. The dryers are large and reasonably priced (50p for 4 minutes) and there are two options, High temperature and low temperature. If you are paying by card make sure the amount you have paid, flashes up on the dial pad screen and has definitely been shown as authorised and the amount paid displayed on the card machine too, before pressing start on the dial pad. If you press start too quickly before the money goes through the machine won't start.
At one occasion the cleaner told me face to face that he don't like my face and terrorised me. I returned indeed. Last time. Now he put his smellydirty clothes to my face and made impossible to use the machine. It happened at 6 pm. I understand that with this aggressive and metal behaviour he get only such a job but I don't want to face him again.
