Great staff and chefs, really friendly and good food and drink. Not cheap if you're not a student but sadly that's the way everywhere is becoming. Wasn't expecting to be paying a fiver for a pint of hell's lager but then again not the cheapest on tap.
On the Cask Marque Ale Trail and justifyably so. A goodly range of well kept ales from local source and further afield. It's an older establishment that has had many renovations, much of the original interior is long gone. It was clearly not a one bar pub, but the original stained glass windows are still in place. Interesting wall art in the quad outback.
Traditional pub. Not much has changed since my student days. Jo the barman gave us a very warm welcome. Pub food (they do vegan burgers) was good value & quick service. Dog friendly too. What's not to like.
Visited to enjoy the Sunday Nut Roast for the first time today. It was MAGNIFICENT. My wife and I are long-time vegans and have enjoyed a number of nut roasts around Bristol. Yet this one was by far the best. A huge portion and tasty beyond words. Well done Prince Of Wales and thank you!
Was a good atmosphere for a Wednesday as it was a pub quiz evening, although made it quite noisy just to have a conversation. Bar staff were polite and there was the usual standard selection of beers and cider on tap. The negative was the place was a bit grimy and the glasses didn't look that clean.
