Great Persian food ... I got the mixed grill which has lamb & chicken and cost ~£18... The portion is great !! Plenty seating at the restaurant for you/friends/family to use.. I haven't done any reservation. The chicken was good but the lamb was great !!
Sam and the team a welcoming and polite. The restaurant is cosy and traditionally decorated, when we were there it got very busy and it seem a little bit stuffy but it wasn't an issue. The food was exceptional and the portions were very generous. We had a selection of different dishes all of which were cooked and presented really well as lovely platters. The saffron and pistachio ice-cream along with the tea was the perfect way to finish the evening.
I was told to go there for a Persian food experience. Everything I tried was very fresh and prepared by the chef before serving. I had the taste of spring starter with the homemade Naan bread and chicken kebab with the lightest and fluffiest saffron rice that I have ever tried. Persian tea is also highly recommended to try. The lamb neck was tender and succulent. The portions are generous, so you might consider shearing it you are not a big eater.
It was a beautiful day, my first visit to Bristol, and I chose Sam Lenho restaurant, one of the most beautiful restaurants in Bristol. Choose this Iranian restaurant. Excellent food and service! The owner Sam and his staff looked after us. Meals were the Lamb/kobideh and chicken shish of which both were exquisite. Sadly we live too far to dine here more often but it’s definitely a gem and I absolutely recommend!
