Came highly recommended as a place to get soldering work done on a laptop. Service was outstanding and friendly from start to finish. They were also really clear about what was possible and how long it would take. The high recommendation was completely justified!
£25 for them to put a graphics card on a test bench, go yup that works.... that's it. £25...... EDIT: In response to your reply. 1. At no point did you verbally mention price. That check in form is something asked me to sign as I was leaving the shop, you know very well that I didn't have the time to read all the small print regarding price or minimum labour costs. I suggest in the future you state explicitly to your customers that there will be a minimum cost. 2. Re your phone call, you indeed stated that you would install it in my system. But again, at no point did you state that that would be included in the price. If anything, it was inferred that it would cost extra. So again, I suggest that you're more explicit regarding pricing. 3. So you were happy to charge me £25 for something that you said that you would do while I wait.... or is it because I left it with you and signed your form?
I took in a school laptop with a power jack issue and they said they would call to confirm the price of the repair. They called back promptly to say they needed to order a part in and the work should be done in a couple of days. I then got a call to say the motherboard had failed and the laptop wouldn't boot so they couldn't do the repair. I was sure it was working before so once I got back to the office I removed the battery and reseated the RAM...and it WORKED!! I was charged a £40 "diagnostic" fee and they didn't even get that right!!
Great service. Booked an appointment to have a stock amd cooler screwed in to the motherboard for me, they were happy to do it the next day and there was no charge. Also provided helpful advice on how to properly install it.
