As other comments say, the meal deal is really good value if you sit in, bbq spare ribs were massive and really tasty, very friendly service
We love this place. Great service and food tastes as you'd hope. Veg pancake rolls and salt and chilli king prawn are really good. And the best ribs I've ever had arrived yesterday! Loads of meat, really soft. I had half last night, half tonight. I'm very happy.
Really happy this is our local Chinese takeaway. Since moving to the area I've used Fungs 3 times and the service and food has been 5 stars every time. It's not overly greasy, generous portions, friendly and fast service and willing to give detailed information for any dietary requirements. Love the veg pancake rolls and tofu dishes!
Fungs Noodle Bar is awesome. I have been going there for about eight years. The elderly couple who run it are friendly and provide the most yummy Chinese food. Eating in is definitely preferred to take away because for about £8 you can order any main off the menu, rice, a starter and a can of drink – far cheaper than it would be as takeaway. And the portions are good size too. It isn’t always the warmest place to eat in the Winter, and the décor isn’t the best, but if you like honest good home cooking then this is the place for you. The salt and pepper ribs are to die for.
Mr Fung is the best chef in Bristol when it comes to cooking fried Tofu. I recommend the spiced chilli pepper & salt fried tofu as a starter, very tasty & crispy. Eating-in in the cafe is great value for money, if you have the eat-in meal deal you can choose 2 courses plus beer or wine for about £10 per head, even less without alcohol. As a non meat eater this has been my favourite Chinese eatery for eat-in, delivery & take aways for many years. The extensive menu has a good range of vegetarian options including plenty of tofu dishes. They can cook a tofu version of most dishes on the menu on request, even if its not listed. There is a much larger and very extensive choice of meat and seafood dishes. They can cater for dietary requirements by excluding specific ingredients from your meal on request.
