Older lady working on the 29/11 in the purple beret was extremely rude and wouldn’t let me shop when I walked in as she was worried I would make a mess. Extremely rude blocked me as soon as I turned to the right of the store to look at the skirts. I tried to ask her to let me know when she was leaving that area as she was blocking me and my pram from looking. She told me that customers were very messy in that store and I would make a mess. She then proceeded to move one item to another section but where the size cubes are sorted you could see there wasn’t any unorganised items she was just either profiling me or being rude. I assume it was profiling as she came over to that very tidy section as soon as I turned that way when I entered the store and physically blocked me and my pram from going any further. This lady has terrible service skills, lacked any professionalism and was very combative she even carried to arguing with me as I left the store. It’s a shame as I have shopped in this store for years and never had an issue with any staff member they are always lovely and helpful especially when I have my baby with me with opening the door and chatting with her.
It’s got some great vintage things but I did feel the prices very really quite high for some things. They had throws and cushions that were brand new that I thought were good value.
The shop is small but they have a decent selection of stuff
This is my local and most favourite charity shop! Lovely staff, fantastic finds - particularly good for second hand clothing and boots/shoes. Has a great selection of new gifts from Cancer Research too, and also really good greeting cards
I've bought some most favourite tops and dresses from here however in recent years cancer research is getting more expensive despite the charity shop initiative to sell clothes. I wish I could reasonably afford to buy from here instead of Primark or Vinted.
