So many things done right! The food was fantastic - it wasn't lazy, it was neither cheap nor small, and was exactly what I had hoped for. The delivery service was both fast and friendly. I've been to enough takeaways by now to expect a certain amount of disappointment, but Bombay Raj is in several leagues above your standard kebab shop! Definitely recommend :)
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE WAITING TIMES ARE A JOKE - iv'e placed an order at 8pm, it is now 10pm and have yet to receive the order. It was rather suspicious that they have tapped 'Delivered' on the just eat app to keep the waiting times down yet over the phone i was told i can 'take it or leave it' when they have said it will be out for delivery soon. Shame i have bought from them many times but not anymore. Just because you have a backlog of orders it does not give you the right to lie about delivery times on the app and threaten to keep my money after it is already in YOUR POCKET and i have received nothing, disgusting. Spend your money elsewhere, as far as the food goes most times it is okay but let the TripAdvisor reviews and other reviews speak for themselves.
Registered on there website which offers a 10% discount on orders over £15 placed my order and they rang to say that instead of the £14.22 I would have to pay £17 as they weren't doing the discount advertised on their own website. Then called me a liar as I said I would put what he had said in a review. No idea what the food tastes like and I never will.
Our food took 2hours and 15minutes to arrive. When we called to see where it was the staff were extremely rude. When the food finally arrived we were told we would be given 20% discount. The next day I received a text to say no money would be refunded. After reading other reviews this restaurant clearly has issues with delivery time and customer service. I would 100% not recommend.
I have lived on Gloucester road for years and not been here before as have my favourite curry's houses that I normally stick to, however after all the snow I needed somewhere nearby so tried Bombay Raj. The staff were lovely and extremley efficent, all of the food was really delicious and even better it was very reasonably priced!! I will definitely be going back.
