Have enjoyed coming to this shop in the past and found they had a good selection of seasonal fruit and veg at a good price. Just brought home a punnet of oranges which were emptied into a bag by the cashier. Three were mouldy and exploded rank orange inside my rucksack. These weren't in the 'sale' section. Why put them out for people to buy like this?
Can't believe I was just charged £3.41 for two Peppers. He weighed them and the total was £1.89 - then he took them off, pressed a few buttons and suddenly it was £3.41. Sarcastic and rude about it and then spent 5 minutes pointlessly talking about wholesale prices, why would I know anything, I go to shops, not the wholesale market. I should have told him to stuff his peppers! Never going there again, same product in Tesco, 50p each. Shame really, the products all look really good quality, why did he choose to take the mickey out of me.
Fantastic local fruit produce in a trendy part of Bristol
There are a lot of greengrocers' on this part of Gloucester Road and none of them are bad per se but I think I'll go to one of the others next time. Staff who cough and then touch your purchases unnecessarily, misleading price labels in some areas of the shop, and not particularly cheap veg
A good selection of fresh fruit and veg that you can select yourself. Tries to source local produce and a small selection of organic. I always trust the produce I buy here to be fresh and to last a few days. Often sells short-date produce at a good price - a large bag of mushrooms makes a nice soup... Service is always cheerful and the staff are helpful. Always long queues on a Saturday morning.
